Perinatal Depression Team Depression can occur at any time in our lives but pregnancy and the postnatal period are especially vulnerable times for many women. The Princess Alexandra Hospital Mental Health Service have received funding for a Perinatal Depression Team. Their role is to visit women dealing with depression under the care of their GP for additional support. They will liaise with community services and arrange further psych treatment if required. If you know of anyone who is currently struggling with depression and needs more support, please encourage her to talk to her doctor about it. |
