Dr Allison Holmes

Alison graduated from the University of Newcastle, UK in 2002. After completing her General Physician exams with a special interest in rheumatology in 2005, she decided to persue a career in General Practice, obtaining her FRACGP in 2008 in Glasgow. During this time she completed her Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Diploma in Family Planning and also gained experience in psychiatry and paediatrics.

Alison moved to Australia in 2009 (newly married) to work as a GP with plans to stay for 1 year, however she has never left!

Over the past 10 years she has worked in General Practice with a special interest in Womens Health, Paediatrics and Chronic Disease Management.

She has 3 young children who keep her very busy, but she also enjoys keeping fit with her morning jog, plays netball, enjoys socialising with friends and also plays the cello. Alison also provided medical care to an orphanage in China a few years ago which cares for children with HIV, and continues to support this charity with fund-raising events.
